We have announced that we are adopting a little boy from an adoption disruption a few weeks ago. This amazing little guy is here in the states and waiting for his new family to come and get him and bring him home to be with his "forever family", which I am blessed to say is US! Disruptions are extremely confusing for the child/children and very difficult for the family disrupting their adoption. Instead of condemnation, they need LOTs of prayers for healing in their family! I am blown away by the encouragement we have been hearing from family and freinds.
Our home study will be complete...very very soon and then we should be ready to get him!! Although, we are still at the beginning of our adoption journey, God has been very clear that He is right here, along for the entire adoption. As I have said before , God is the creator of adoption! He is for the orphan and tells us we should be too:) We were talking about God yesterday and Our 5 yr old Sarah, had some very wise words...."Mom, you know God is the author of every story." I said "yes He is, indeed". After she said that, I had to think, was she telling me this or was God telling me this through my little Sarah!!??
So, although we are still waiting for God's provision ....I do believe His Word!
"Your unfailing love is as high as the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds." Psalm 57:10
"For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for harm, to give you hope and a future" Jer29:11
"Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion,
which cannot be shaken but endures forever".Psalm 125:1
"You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it." John 14:14
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6
God knows the plans that he has for our family and for this little guy! We are totally blessed to be a part of His plan for our son and we will be patient during this wait. In doing so, we have prayed about asking for help from those who God has moved to help us with our adoption journey. There are some grants for families adopting. However, there are not so many avenues for families that are adopting from disruption. Please prayerfully consider helping our family to go and get our son who is waiting. At the top right of this page there is a gold donate button. Any amount helps and is going to a secured Project Hopeful F.I.G. account that is in his name. Every $10 donation enters you into a give-away we are doing for our adoption. The giveaway is for a totally chic black Coach Poppy Glam Tote Bag. The Coach bag is valued at $200.00. This bag was a gift to help us bring our son home.
Or, if you are feeling led, you can also mail a check made payable to Project Hopeful and mail it to our friend: Traci Heim c/o Project HOPEFUL FIG

Also, we are asking for your prayers for our son, this is a confusing time for him as he waits. His current family is also in need of prayers for their entire family. Again this is an extremely difficult time for them, they need healing and restoration. Finally, we thank you for your prayers and support. To God be the Glory!
